He has been my best bud for the past 5
years. We started off with trail riding and did a few promotional shows.
Early on at the shows, it turned out that
Hayden is somewhat of a ham. He thrives with an audience!!!! The more people watching him, the more he puts on a show.
In 2004, just when IFSHA had started, we
attended our first show together and did fairly well. Neither of us (Hayden
and I) are very competitive, so you won't find us
exercising a lot. We just like to have fun!
At the 2006 FISHA Regionals however, we did
GREAT! We accomplished:
Geldings in Hand class : Top Ten 2006
- English Show Hack: Reserve Regional Champion
2006
Dressage Hack: Regional Champion 2006
- and we won the Open (non-USEF rated)
Dressage Suitability
English Pleasure other than Hunter : 4th
We held up our own at the Grand Nationals 2006 in Las
Vegas. Hayden did fine after the long trip and we made several Top 5 and
even received a Reserve National Championship in the Liberty Class for
Geldings 3 years and over. Hayden could have been considered the "Grandpa"
of all the youngens that were there being the oldest horse (12 at that time)
in this class. Needless to say - I was very proud of the man! He is such a
ham. And both of us were glad to come home again!
